No. Every Color Inspired Palette Study is created through my own process of observation. I carefully select each photograph, identify the colors that become the palette, name every color, write the observations, and develop the journal prompts that accompany each study.
Some studies begin with my own photographs, while others begin with photographs shared by photographers on Unsplash. Whenever an Unsplash photograph is used, the photographer is credited at the end of each Color Inspired Palette Study.
-
Each color is given a unique name as part of its Color Inspired Palette Study. Much like characters in a story, the names help express the personality and relationships of the colors within the palette. Together with the observations and journal prompts, they encourage readers to spend more time looking closely, reflecting on what they see, and discovering their own connections to color.

The Causeways Palette Color Inspired Palette Book brings together 50 coordinated color palettes drawn directly from original abstract artworks. Each palette includes six relational colors, thoughtfully arranged to create a cohesive emotional atmosphere rather than a collection of isolated shades.
Alongside every palette, you will find carefully chosen color names and six universal color codes that can be used across creative disciplines and projects.
Whether you are selecting colors for a home, developing a brand identity, creating artwork, planning an event, designing a product, or refining a visual concept, the book offers a way to move from inspiration toward clarity.
Rather than asking what colors are trending, these palettes invite a different question:
What feels emotionally true together?
Each palette captures a distinct atmosphere, revealing how undertones, depth, softness, and contrast interact to create emotional temperature and visual cohesion.
Created for designers, artists, photographers, brand builders, homeowners, and anyone drawn to the language of color, this collection serves as both a practical reference and a source of quiet discovery.
Inside you'll find:
• 50 Color Inspired Palettes
• Six coordinated colors within every palette

• Palettes derived from original abstract artwork

The abstract artwork sheets in this collection are the same images featured throughout the Causeways Palette Color Inspired Palette books. Created over the course of many years, they grew alongside the palettes themselves through observation, intuition, curiosity, and an enduring fascination with color.
Inside are 50 full-page abstract artworks that explore a wide range of color relationships, atmosphere, movement, and texture. Some are quiet and reflective. Others feel layered, energetic, or unexpected. Together they form a visual extension of the palettes that inspired them.
Whether displayed, printed, collected, or incorporated into personal projects, these artworks offer another way to spend time with the colors that resonated with you. They invite closer attention to the subtle relationships between color, mood, and atmosphere that sit at the heart of Causeways Palette.
