COLOR INSPIRED PALETTE STUDIES

Causeways Palette creates Color Inspired Palette Studies inspired by nature, places, seasons, objects, and everyday experiences, along with books and printable artwork designed to help people explore color in thoughtful and meaningful ways.

Why Causeways Palette?

Color has always been something felt and experienced.

Growing up in Michigan, I watched the same landscape transform with each season. Every change revealed something new about how color lives in the world. The tree by the lake, a sliced avocado, a stack of sweaters, mason jars filled with tea, lake water rippling against a worn dock. Ordinary things, when observed slowly enough, held entire worlds of color.

Causeways Palette grew from that awareness. Each Color Inspired Palette Study begins with a single image and evolves into a carefully curated palette of six colors that naturally belong together. Inspired by places, seasons, objects, and everyday moments, these palettes are designed to be lived with, worn, displayed, and woven into daily life.

Behind the Screen

I'm Tracey, the creator behind Causeways Palette. Most days you'll find me working with color and developing Color Inspired Palette Studies from the things I observe and experience. It's a process I've stayed close to over time, even as life has shifted in its own ways.

Outside of that, I'm usually strength training, out for a walk, or cooking. I'm drawn to quiet rituals, sunsets, and the slower moments that bring everything back into balance. Coloring and journal-style storytelling are woven into that too, part of the same creative life that continues to inspire Causeways Palette.

“Color is a beautiful tool that has the power to change your mood, energetic vibrations, and if you let it, your soul.”

— Tracey Bureau, Creator of Causeways Palette
